What to expect when you apply

Application Submission

Submit your application through our online platform. Make sure to complete all required fields and attach the requested documents as specified in the Vacancy Notice. Please note: only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Eligibility Screening

The Selection Committee reviews all applications against the eligibility criteria listed in the Vacancy Notice. This step ensures that only candidates meeting the mandatory requirements proceed further.

Structured Scoring

Eligible applications are evaluated through a structured, matrix-based scoring system powered by AI. Each application is assessed against predefined criteria covering experience, technical expertise, and relevant knowledge. All AI-generated scores are then reviewed and validated by a qualified recruiter to ensure accuracy and fairness.

Longlist & Shortlist

Candidates who meet the scoring threshold are longlisted. The top candidates are then identified and the shortlist is reviewed and validated by the Selection Committee before any further assessment takes place.

Online Assessment

Shortlisted candidates complete online assessments designed specifically for the role. These include personality and integrity questionnaires. Assessments are indicative — they inform the process but do not eliminate candidates on their own.

Interview in Brussels

Shortlisted candidates are invited to an in-person, competency-based interview at the CEFTA Secretariat in Brussels, scheduled for early May 2026. The interview follows a structured format, with questions designed to assess both technical capability and personal fit. Travel arrangements will be communicated in advance.

Selection Committee Decision

The Selection Committee reviews all evidence — application scores, assessment results, and interview performance — to reach a final, well-documented decision.
